So... I decided to play Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time again after decades

Last weekend I had some free time after doing a lot of stuff at home—we’re talking fixing furniture here—and to relax, I dug out my old SNES to see if it still worked. Surprisingly, it did, so I checked out some of my older games.

I found TMNT IV: Turtles in Time.

I really liked it when I was a kid, so I decided to play it again. I managed to finish it in one afternoon, even if it took me longer than I remember. That said, the game holds up surprisingly well after all these years. Arguably one of the best beat ’em up games of the 16-bit era, for sure.

The graphics are colorful and detailed, the music is fantastic, and the controls are very responsive. The gameplay is just great, no matter how you look at it.

And throwing Foot Soldiers at the screen is still as fun as it was decades ago.
